Mason, did you listen to the CC? Interested in your take;
I presume "gruesome" was based on a careful reading of the
press release? Conference was in RealAudio at
asyst.com
or by phone at 615 770 7742, code 504946.
Seemed a fair amount of emphasis on how business was "picking
up" slightly in the last 4 weeks. I was also a bit struck by how
unexpected the magnitude of the dropoff preceding it was. Claim not to be experiencing
pricing pressure, and not giving in to requests for extended
payment terms. Other upbeat stuff as well. I sold some (40%) at 10 this
morning to get some profits off the table, not that I'm encouraging
others to do the same. Long year ahead for semi industry and
overall market; I think good chance recession hits U.S. as well.
Good upside volume this A.M., though. Stock still undervalued,
but I don't want to stay too overweighted in it (still heavy in
automation generally, with BRKS and PRIA).

I usually trade out too soon.

Cheers,

HB
