Larry , re Tend to discount Book Value . I agree that book value can evaporate if a large percentage is overstated inventory . That is not the case with OPTI however . The breakdown of the last quarters balance sheet (sep30 96) is as follows :- Book Value $7.69 a share , $3.37 cash & equivalents , 90c in inventory , that leaves $3.42 in plant & equipment etc . I thought might be of interest to you .Another important point . OPTI's latest chipsets for Pentium Pro (Discovery) , Pentium desk top (Vendetta) + low cost PCs ,NCs and information appliances (Viper Express) , all ship in volume for the first time during the first quarter of '97 . Should be an interesting year ! regards Brian
