Yes they are. It sounds pretty goofy, doesn't it?

Last night, I saw new Best Buy adds. They have a computer "build to order" section in their stores now that are run by CPQ. CPQ also has similar secitons in Radio Shack stores. It doesn't cost CPQ anything to set up these thousands of outlets, the bricks and mortars are already there. Plus they have the marketing muscle of Tandy Corp. and BB. Doesn't cost CPQ much, and they have instant access to a huge market.

GTW on the other hand is building thse stores from scratch. The marketing and startup costs must be tremendous.
