I hate to see him go. He's a mover and a shaker. Not afraid to make the big decisions. Perhaps that's why he decided to move on. The rest of Viasoft wasn't performing at his speed. Or, maybe the rest of the power structure got tired of being driven so hard and forced him to leave. Only the insiders know for sure.

Local scuttlebutt picked up the following perspective from inside VIAS HQ:

They (the remaining powers-that-be) are looking at VIAS as a new company with over 1,500 customers supporting them. They consider themselves to be a startup with over $85 million in cash that generates income on a quarterly basis.

Interesting. Thought provoking.
