Paul - Linux does a good job for some applications, especially 'dedicated' server applications. It is not yet ready for the average joe to install IMHO. Look for Linux to be much more important next year, especially with Intel's behind the scenes assistance. It could compete with NT in certain niches but not broadly, but MSFT is taking it seriously.
