here is a half/assed report from CNBC and I really didnt catch it because i have a bad headache

so perhaps someone else can pipe in who has studied this

but Ron Insana was saying someone said..

..only a small amount of stocks brought up the huge gains in the market....because of their weight...like IBM...etc...

yah yeah..I know about the advancers /decliners..etc...but the weight of the heavy hitters can make a difference...and can mask

so has anyone looked into this
