Alan,

You forgot a lot of other players that are not benefiting from this great arrangement.

You forgot the OS competitors that are lose or are abandoned by the PC OEMs simply because they dont have the monopoly to force the OEMs to implement their alternative.

You forgot the smaller or upstart PC OEMs that will not get these same deals with MSFT and be pushed out of the marketplavce because they cant compete on price (the PC market is very much a commodity market so price is one of the most important factors in sales to the consumer).

You forgot the consumers that will realize inceased prices in the end as less PC OEM and no OS competition naturally drives the price to the consumer.

So sorry Alan, its not goog business - unless your in the inner circle with he who holds the monopoly. So I disagree whole-heartedly with you on this one.
