Melissa, I'm not suggesting they lied. I am saying that at the very least they shot from the hip. But even so, I think they owe shareholders and explanation. I also believe that this misinformation will trigger a spate of lawsuits.

Now, given what Michelle has told us about a loosening job market for technical people in the ERP arena, I think that it is time for PSFT to use its cash to strengthen its market position with front office or other application add-ons. And it should do this with hostile takeovers if necessary because the fear of losing top talent isn't as much a threat now as it was a year ago. I also think that PSFT, along with a lot of other tech companies need to abandon this sham of using options in lieu of salaries to finance labor costs off of the income statement. If PSFT reprices its options to keep its workers happy this will absolutely crush the stock short term.
