***For those interested in BYDS***

For those that are reading about BYDS for first time, you might want to read replies #922 and #931 under this thread. In formation is being shared and nothing else is intended.

I have decided to get off the fence on this company partly based on today's performance and volume along with the following additional data. I will be establishing a position on Monday since I do not have a position as of today.

1. 5,200 shares traded in the 13-13.375 range, DOWN 0.5
2. Shares trading in the middel of its 52 week trading range
3. 38% CAGR since 1992 (please verify this on your own)
4. I can find No Debt on this company. DEBT FREE ????
5. Hot Rods by Boyds has been formerly rolled into the public BYDS entity.
6. TV coverage could get more people interested in company and/or products.

My timing was off on the program airing time on TNN. The following is an except from the public relations group.

MOTORTREND TV - interview with Boyd Coddington and his Chief Designer shocasing one of its newest custom Hot Rods - The Sportster. They will also discus developments within the automotive industry.
Broadcast - 1/4 Sat 2:00 pm EST and 1/5 Sun 3:00 pm EST

HOT ROD TV - will premier this weekend on TNN. Show is produced by Peterson Publishing Company, publishers of Hot Rod Magazine. They will interview Boyd Coddington.
Broadcast - 1/4 Sat 1:30 pm EST and 1/5 Sun 4:00 pm EST

Check local listings in your area for more accurate information.

This is not a get rich quick proposition and this stock is not trading at its 52 week low. It is trading mid range with a moderate to small float. There are plenty of Hot Rod enthusiasts out there and if my friend is correct, we may see a shift back to Hot Rods by the Harley dudes in their 50s that are trading them in for other "more appropriate toys" of their misspent youth. This age group was the 50s American Graffiti group and original Rock n Rollers. Except now they have the cash ($ 30K and up) to plunk down on Hot Rods or at least buy Boyd Billet items for their Volvos!!(Billeted wheels will go for hundreds to a couple of thousand dollars and let's not forget the steering wheels either). The Harleys will pass on to a new generation or will be held onto by this older crowd with the opportunity to purchase Boyd aftermarket trinkets for these Bikes.

My Hot Rod buddy got me jazzed up on this, admittedly. However, the premier of the new show, some of the financials I dug up, and the new licensing of Logo/named products (like Mattel Hot wheels mentioned before) make this look attractive enough to buy some shares and watch its performance into the late Spring and early Summer.

I am not looking at this stock as a means to double my money in short order but rather feel it could go back to its 17.375 high which would be a nice and safer 33% investment.

BIG QUESTION - SURVEY

Are there any Hot Rodders amongst us or people that we know who are Hot Rod Enthusiasts. If so, let's get a "street opinion" on this subject. Also, the the financial techies amongst us, how about a D&B type opinion on this company and its fundamentals. We have all weekend to do our homework and report back.

Personally, I looking for someone to give me dissenting views since I am leaning very positive here now and would appreciate any negative information and data to allow me to make a more balanced decision. My mind is made up but I am willing to re-evaluate this decision.
