talked with the IR rep. today and there is still no date set for 3Q98 earnings release. i suspect this means we won't see anything until the week of november 9th. ULTR only earned $0.03 per share in 3Q97 with $3.2 million in revenues, so it should be pretty easy to beat the '97. i still don't have any confirmation as to whether ULTR shipped any product to k-mart or the shopping network in 3Q98. apparently ULTR took in orders from radio shack franchises in august/september, but i don't know whether they shipped any product. if we get some positive earnings in 3Q98 and 4Q98 i think things will start really looking up for '99. 1Q98 was a modest loss and 2Q98 had a significant loss. with the anticpated sales to AAA in 1Q98 we should start seeing quarters with modest earnings replace quarters where ULTR had losses (year over year comparisons). this will do a good bit for ULTR's trailing P/E and should put us on track for $0.30-0.50 in '99. if we can start anticipating earnings like that, we'll move pretty quickly back to $6-8, if not higher.
