ROUND ROCK, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 1998--Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:DELL - news), the world's leading direct computer systems company, today announced that its participation in COMDEX/Fall '98 will include a ''Direct Perspectives'' media briefing by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael Dell.
The media briefing will detail Dell's position on significant emerging information technology issues identified through online polling of its customers. In lieu of participating as one of nine staged keynote presenters at the industry conference, Dell opted for a more direct, interactive method to provide information to its customers and the industry.
The online poll, available on dell.com, asks respondents to rate their level of concern with IT issues ranging from the implications of Y2K to the integration of the Internet in business applications. In addition to the ''Direct Perspectives'' briefing, the company also will conduct extensive customer briefings throughout the conference Nov. 16-20.
The media briefing is scheduled at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16 at the Las Vegas Country Club, and will be followed immediately by a media reception hosted by Dell senior executives. Additionally, Dell senior executives will conduct individual media briefings on specific topics at Dell's COMDEX/Fall '98 meeting area on the trade show floor at S101 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
