The fundamental reason for ATY dropping is the Chromatics Acquisition
will be dilutive to earnings. Chromatics sold the rights to the current MPACT to MCC so ATY has nothing to sell off the bat from
Chromatics.

Also ATI will be going head to head with Intel in the Set Top Box and PC market. The StrongArm & Portolo vs Son of Mpact + RAGE.

Although ATI will be sucessful, Any market that Intel enters results
in pricing pressures. It Will be good for the consumers though.
Check out 3COM and what happen when Intel entered the Networking market or when Intel entered then exited the Modem market.

PS Hey Chief I thought you would have been all over ARP today.

>>> As for the fundamental reason ATY is dropping??? I haven't got a clue other than to say the overall market is bad (in case you haven't heard). I like their products, earning are good and inline with expectations and their debt to equity ratio is still decent. However I am learning quickly that technical analysis rarely lies. I may try a
flip later on in the day if we see another fast selloff. <<<
