It is just an idea. Since we know that Olympus has has such large share of that market, isn't wrong to assume that so much of products currently made as a result of Olympus R&D would become obsolete thanks to Xillix? By controlled distribution and than convenient participation in development of next generations of the product, the big brother can put the tight squeeze what is going on in endoscopy market till it is ready to adopt it without sacrificing profits in still saleable less advanced products?

I think there is no mistake in the statement that every industry has its own "Microsoft". What would happen if all white light endoscopes were replaced by only one(made by Olympus by the way)which is a part of LIFE -Lung fluorescence system to perform examination on that organ? There is alone 9 of those currently made by Olympus. What part of $750M would go to Xillix than?

It is just a thought? You can read in Xillix releases that potential market for LIFE-GI is about $1.3B which of course future distribution is also given to Olympus?
Something to think about, I suppose.
Regards
Robert
