You know almost as much as me! I've heard from others on SI that there is some very modest royalty for each MIPS derivative, and also that each game cartridge has some software royalty, too. I haven't ever seen SGI mention this as being significant, so perhaps it isn't.

I'm bullish on SGI anyway, because I think 1997 will be a good year for companies that have high performance network (Internet and Intranet) servers.
