MANIPULATION!
This stock will open down tomorrow, but it's not because they had a bad earnings report. They are hoping that you saw this spread 11 - 9 7/8 and put in your sell order tonight.
This stock is being manipulated and they want your shares!
Let's look at the current tape (10/22/98)
Last Price = 11 3/4 (Even that is low for today!) Ask 11 (Only two 11's all day!) Bid 9 7/8 (Wow, musta' pulled that out of a hat!)
11 on the Ask. I guess those 2300 shares must have been more important than those other 409,000 shares traded all day. 2300 shares made it drop 3/4 point? Why did they even bother setting it back to 11 3/4 they should have gone to 2 1/32.
How did it get to 11 when the last trades were: 11 3/4 200 11 3/4 200 11 500 (Where did these 11's come from?) 11 1700 (See below) 11 15/16 8000 11 15/16 2000 11 7/8 1000 12 1/8 1000 12 1/8 700 12 200
11's?? I tried to ask around, but it was always someone else. That someone else was never in. Pacific Stock Exchange burped out those two 11's. They are not a Primary Exchange like the NYSE and apparently they can do this from time to time to clean up the tape. Oh Yeh, nobody knew where the 9 7/8 came from, it must have just been a mistake and will be cleaned up by tomorrow. By then you've sold your stock for a loss!
Does this look so bad?
1999 first quarter revenues increased 21.2% to $89,339,000 Net income increased 35.5% to $9,807,000, $0.26 per share Net income for the September 30, 1998 quarter was increased by $2,620,000 Home video game revenues increased to $69,690,000 Shipments of next generation units increased 109% Next generation video game revenues increased 106%. Home video game gross profit increased to 54.8%
Revenues for the quarter compared to the December 31, 1997 quarter are expected to increase approximately 2% to 5 %.
Sales of next generation home video game units are expected to increase between 17% to 22%.
So they are concentrating on non Coin-op games, that's OK with the above numbers. They are making money off other platforms:
Nintendo 64 Sony Playstation Sega Saturn 16-bit Carts. PC CD and others. (What could this be???)
Is this really that bad? Coin-operated video game revenues in the September 30, 1998 quarter were $19,649,000 compared to $33,681,000 in the prior year
Coin-operated revenues are expected to decrease between 20% and 25% from the prior year quarter.
To conclude, all we have to do is mention "out" with coin-op gaming and "in" with internet @HOME gaming and YAHOO we're off! |
