Yargnad,
CPQ already has built in ethernet support required for cable modems into it's Presario PC's. CPQ is also a member of the ADSL working group. I was discussing home networking with Rudedog the other day on this thread, and he told me that we may be seeing a home networking solution with all the hardware built in quite soon from CPQ. There were some articles in the press about a year ago where Pfeiffer talked about a 'home server' that would be the connection point for various devices throughout the home. As for Cabletron, they bought DEC's networking business before CPQ bought DEC, and CPQ has an agreement to buy networking gear from CS.

Regards,
John

PS - I know CPQ also has it's fingers into the cable side, they made an investment in one of the cable services some months ago, I don't remember which one it was off the top of my head.
