I thought the same with FORE about 18 mos. ago..panicked big time and sold at the absolute nadir (it subsequently recovered, which made me equally as sick). However, I agree with your theories for the crash and also think management may be indulging in semantics. If they do in fact take a one time charge, the "results" will be substantially less than 50 cents, but perhaps the "earnings" will hold up. Either way, my feeling is that the small investor will hold on but the institutions will be selling as a way of punishing LSN for making them look like idiots (most had buy ratings as you probably know)...I have seen this happen before with other stocks and there generally is a further downdraft until a) the company clarifies the real intent of their earnings "warning" or b) our respected analysts have spoken with LSN to work out how they can squirm their way out of this embarrassment.

On the other hand, the feds don't take kindly to irregularities in GAAPs and so this may be just the tip of the iceberg, ala YBM.. If that is the case and there is even the slightest hint of an investigation pending - watch out!

Tomorrow will be interesting alright...but I for one will be watching from the sidelines only. This market, as we have all seen, is ruthless when there are any clouds on the horizon (especially the ones we can't see through)...
