Yeah the Beatle Eater is truly the unsung hero of the thread--such consistency of quality work and dedication is a rare quality. No wood fireplace, only one of those converted gas fireplaces here (at least there are no ashes) but we do have a nice hot tub/jacuzzi which will be a big help through the winter...
