I was referring to the following highly suspect post from someone who calls himself/herself "Syquest_com" on the Yahoo! SYQT board. I believe this is the same post that "Rawn" copied and posted here on this thread earlier today:

IMO, this "news alert" style post appears to have caused a number of SYQT investors to believe that there was an actual SyQuest press release pending regarding a so-called "SparQ-DVD" drive.

There is no press release that I am aware of, and the information has not been verified in any way. UNTIL THIS INFORMATION CAN BE CONFIRMED, I WILL PERSONALLY VIEW IT AS A POSSIBLE INTENTIONAL EFFORT TO MISLEAD SYQUEST INVESTORS. I deplore those individuals who attempt to manipulate others through dissemination of false information, especially when it is presented as a news release. It is certainly possible that this information could eventually turn out to be true and accurate, but until it has been acknowledged as such, I will write it off.
