He said in no uncertain terms that the dry spell in computers was over .... the next big push will be fueled by the next release of Windows NT.....He also pointed to Y2K compliance in hardware ... that favors replacement.

Let me see if I got it right....
1) The dry spell is over => The big PC sales are today.
No, wait...
2) Y2K compliance pressure => The big PC sales are next year - 1999.
No, wait, there's more .......
2) The next big push is NT5 => The big PC sales at the end of 1999.
