News that consumer PC sales are up is not surprising. If Intel is producing record numbers of Pentiums it follows most logically that record numbers of PC's are being sold. More good news is that intranet spending is projected to double to 8.5 billion in 1997. Compaq will be a premier provider of the NT servers that run intranets and of course pricey corporate desktops. 1997 will easily be CPQ's best year ever in revenue and earnings growth. The stock should double easily.
