>>>Does CKFR have an electronic wallet?

They licensed an electronic wallet from Cybercash. It was sort of a flop, though. And when CKFR sold their credit card processing business (not to be confused with account balance transfer), it just didn't make sense anymore.

I recall it was rolled out Christmas of 1996. It fizzled from the get-go, because the merchant had to be running wallet server software, and you couldn't get them to do it unless there was an installed customer base of wallet users.

I think the problem with it is that most consumers didn't "get" it. The only apparent benefit was that it saved you the hassle of typing in your cc number for online transactions. I think folks were turned off knowing that their cc info was stored somewhere on their PC where they might not be able to get to it later.

Who knows.

Bit.
