Whipsaw: Re: "The Chairman, CEO leaving has no real implications on the company."

The Chairman/CEO (Steve Whiteman) didn't leave. Well, at least he hasn't announced his intention to leave as far as I know. If your visit to "the company yesterday" indicated that the "Chairman, CEO" is leaving, then there is definitely a shakeup underway.

The person who resigned (at the end of this month) is Kevin Hickey. He was the President and COO. He was elevated to that position as a result of a superior sales record while he was VP of Sales. Which, coincidentally, happened to be during the initial Y2K frenzy that sent this stock to the 60's.

JDRogers is correct. There are very few of the original employees left. The company today doesn't look anything like it did when the founders were there. It has slowly transformed from a top-notch software development organization to a sales/marketing/services driven organization. Can you guess how I feel about that? (Hint: I'm a hard-core techie.)
