I have to admit I'm scratching my head about the recent move. 100% in a little over 3 weeks is a bit much even though it was trading at near cash levels. Looks like "analysts" have once again put on the "recovery around the corner" glasses. I can make a case for some of the semiconductor equipment group ala DPMI, PLAB and TER, but the overcapacity continues to be a problem. Look back through some of the news articles about TSM and their competition and you get the feeling that the "worst is over", but they are unlikely to significantly increase cap-ex spending until utilization rates increase.
