If your need as a business is to run 7x24x365 what OS would you suggest in place of something like MVS? Windows95? NT?

The decline of IBM's mainframe business must be why the stock has gone from 40 to 150?

The way the retoric/reasoning over operating systems is presented is that there's only room for one CORRECT choice. Just because bicycles are very effective as downtown messanger vehicles does not obsolete Peterbilt trucks & 40' trailers.

So far IBM is handling Y2K more responsibly than MightySoft.
