Jim , AMD's prices are undercutting Intel
Examples from pricewatch :-
K6-2 300 priced at 41% of PII-300 ($83 vs $198) and 69% of Cel 300A
K6-2 333''''''''''''''51% of PII-333 ($98 vs $191) and 65% of Cel 333
K6-2 350''''''''''''''60% of PII-350 ($135 vs $223)
K6-2 400''''''''''''''70% of PII-400 ($268 vs $379)

These figures indicate that AMD's yields must be very good IMHO.
They also show that AMD is determined to maintain market share by means of the low end while increasing profitability using the high end products . This is the right choice since with the low infrastructure costs of socket7 the K6-2 300 will go into very low priced PCs for this Xmas season greatly expanding the low end sales .
