Chassis Design Honored (from Austin American-Statesman, Monday, Oct 19, page D1) Photo and caption: The OptiPlex box is included in a Good Design 1998 exhibition. The computer chassis for one of Dell Computer Corp.'s business computers has been included in a Good Design 1998 exhibition put on by the Chicago Athanaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. Dell and Design Edge, an Austin-based industrial design company, developed the OptiPlex box. The OptiPlex N/NX network computer will be part of the museum's permanent design collection. Criteria for selection include innovation, form, materials, construction, concept, function and utility as well as product appearance and aesthetic appeal. DELLish, 3.
