The company has been advised by Safe Environment Engineering (USA) that an
order has been received from Tinker Air Force Base at Del City, Oklahoma
for 25 new Portable Safety Monitors Model No. LLPIE-20 to enhance the
base's existing Life.line system.
Tinker Air Force Base uses the Life.line Confined Space Monitoring System
performing maintenance procedures on various types of military aircraft.
Delivery is expected in November 1998, after which the installation will
use a total of 10 monitoring consoles, communicating with over 125 Portable
Safety Monitors carried by maintenance personnel. Additional military
deliveries occurred in 1998. Safe Environment (USA) completed a delivery to
Hill Air Force Base, Layton, Utah; and more recently, a second delivery to
the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyards. These installations, as well as existing
installations at Northrop Grumman and The Boeing Company, provide the
Life.line system a solid foothold in world defence and aircraft industries
relating to monitoring and management of confined space operations.
The Life.line Confined Space and Security Monitoring System will be
exhibited at the 1998 National Safety Council Congress and Expo taking
place in Los Angeles Oct. 26-28, 1998.
