Funny that you ask, since I executed two trades with them today and was curious myself how long the confirmation would take. 500 shares of BAY and 500 of CA took less than 20 seconds.

I have been with E-Trade for about a year and my only complaint is that their web site is often slow. Also, I only trade in stocks and almost always at the market price. Hope this helps.
