Rumors can drive the price Up. But this much volume is very hard to sustain on unfounded rumors.

I am not about to invest in this turkey. The best possible scenario I can think of is if Syquest is letting some other company use the Syquest brand name on already-existing (or next generation) DVD-RAM drives and media. This may allow Syquest to survive, but not thrive.
