Dowjoe,

Nice to be welcome. Even though the volume of messages here is lower it is nice to talk to sane people. While you can use anonymous names here at least they verify your e-mail and don't let you carry ten names. I recently caught a shorter on yahoo using multiple names to make it look like he had support. Experiences like that and the continuously posting of commercial ads and off-topic posts were annoying as well.

Overtime, we can build this forum and I am going to invite people from Yahoo to come over here. The fee should keep the quacks out.

I think you can both make money in the short term as well as the long term. I'm kicking myself for not selling a little more at 40 and buying back in when it would dip. I didn't expect this dip to 20 but I figured there would be SOME volatility in October. October always is a rough month in the market. The thing that made me nervous for that type of play was the fear that I would miss the climb to the next plateau which in a good market would have put this stock at about 50 or maybe a buck under. A shorter could make a fortune playing the yo-yo effect on this stock. You just have decide what type of risk and how much time you are willing to put into it. I generally am a long investor. I find a company based on value and look to long term growth to provide my return. I am somewhat risk averse.

A caveat that I should give this forum is that I am biased in my views by a significant ownership (for me in my portfolio) of this stock which I acquired as an employee. I was a pre-IPO employee and I left employment last May and have since been enjoying a sabbatical which includes a lot of golf thanks to Aspect. So be sure you don't rely just on me and my opinions as I am obviously a biased source. However, I was a mid-level hack in finance there and joined the company in 1994 so I can provide a pretty deep level understanding of the company and its market as well as bring the knowledge that someone who has grown up in and participated in the tech side of the Silicon Valley.
