You are probably right. It seemed to have muted the good news. On balance though, I was pleased with the earnings. It was better than I expected, even though they presented it in a dull fashion. A little PR wouldn't hurt. I suppose they are afraid of raising expectations and then getting sued if they miss.

If they can get their margins up to 2 or 3% in 1999 and 6 or 7% in 2000 instead of the 0 to 1% today, then BA can become very profitable even with less business in the year 2000.
