Actually, if you are interested, here is what happened.

The junglee/planetall insiders had 3 million shares they wanted to dump. Bezos and Meeker and Vinik knew the stock would collapse if that much float was added. So they quickly had a meeting with the junglee/planetall folks and made an arangement where the insiders would put the shares out there to the various brokerages, and then Bezos and the gang would "borrow" all those shares for shorting (hedging) purposes.

Remember when a couple weeks ago suddenly there were shares available to short? And then quickly they were all gone?

And then, most damning of all, was the SEC filing by Amazon a couple days ago where they specifically added a section that said "Planetall/junglee insiders are free to engage in hedging positions" and nothing more.

Coincidence? I guess if you're a sheep, you could convince yourself of that.

Just dont forget- BEZOS WAS A FORMER HEDGE FUND MANAGER. Do you think he's going to totally forget about his previous career and experience when it would present him with a chance to preserve his billionaire status? Get real.
