Aren't the two issues of a) trades >5000 shares, and b) trades on BB stocks, somewhat separate issues? I can sort of understand the rationale for not allowing BB trades (though there are many BB stocks I would certainly like to trade through Datek). I don't understand why we can't trade more than 5000 shares at a time -- even for a commensurately larger commission. I hope it's a rule that will change before long.

How about the other matter of allowing limit orders on NYSE stocks? I look forward to that as well.
