could you share you impression about NN demo during show and what is the reaction in general about NN's products just announced?

I saw several demonstrations and the one I enjoyed the most was at the AT&T booth where they had the NN and CKEYF products up and running. The guy from T said there's a large market and that NN had beat out some big competitors.

I also got quite a few positive vibrations on NN's GlobalOne chances.
Newbridge's wireless demonstration was more impressive than Ericsson's and Nortel had nothing. Which was rather humorous since their two chiefs, House and Roth, had said wireless was the "next frontier." Their marketing department certainly has egg on its face. I can just see it now, "Dear Mr. Roth . . . in the future could you please alert us to which technologies you'll be plugging so we can at least have brochures ready for those who inquire. . ."

The only feed-back I heard on the announced products was surprise from Pairgain's president on the 36177. He started to say the 36170 was not a good solution for some enterprise and ISP spaces when I asked if he'd seen the 177. He hadn't even heard it was out. I suggested he go check it out. :)

I came away from the show feeling NN is being closely watched by the Street and when certain conditions have been met, they'll upgrade. Also that employees from one end of the company to the other know they deserve respect and see it as a matter of when not if. Lots of positive comments on their new leader, too.

Later --
