Earnings missed its expectations by 2 cents.
The good news is that it maintained its price pretty well.

Analysts do not like to miss their estimates. They like to be
suprised on the up side. Until NVAL can do that then its price
will be tough going.

The HMO option of offering vision care is growing and starting
to show up on companies employee Choice list.
These plans are usually being decided now in late fall and go into
effect in January. If NVAL was aiming for this market; it would
appear that they are too late for this year.
They would be however a good bet to get these kind on contracts
as they are so large now.

The WalMart issue needs to be taken care also.
The fear that Wal Mart will drop them is dragging this puppy.
If they were to get to renew this contract then it propel the stock
price.
