Pravin , re. if AMD shipped 1M K6-2 400
It seems unlikely to be that high but you never know .
Also re. $30 in January
Don't forget AMD went to $48 on the strength of the K6 introduction .
AMD today is in a far superior position after coming off a month of K6-2 sales where it captured the largest share of the retail market ,
The AMD brand name is well established once again .
We have just finished a quarter which saw K6-2 output on .25 go from 1M to 3.8M in 3 months , at the same time the speed ramped up to 350mhz and this quarter the 400mhz .
We also had K6 300 notebook CPUs introduced at the beginning of the quarter with higher ASPs and K6-3 will be shipped before the end of the quarter .
To cap it off the K7 was introduced to what might be termed rave reviews .
