There have been some problems at the discount brokerages getting the dissident proxies forwarded. A couple of pointers: It IS their legal responsibility to forward the proxies to Montreal Trust. They CAN fax your proxy to MT. Also,you can fax your proxy to your broker. You do not have to mail in the original. Don't let them tell you differently. If you get the runaround, ask to speak to a supervisor. The general rep you will get on the phone likely won't have a clue as to how to handle forwarding a proxy. They can also verify all of this by calling Mel Machado at Montreal Trust. The fax number at MT is on the last page of the proxy.
