HELLO JANE !!!! That was shouting in case your ears are still suffering from the rock band muzic. Whipped off that response to your post quickly before work this morning. Some profound disdain expressed there for such...music? When I think of how all things were created for God's pleasure I don't have to ponder long on what He must think of some of the stuff out there with Satan on lead vocals. I'm hard line on the issue as well. Reaching out to kids with the likes of Stryper is the same thing to me as passing out drugs wrapped in Christian literature to addicts. I don't condemn all music other than old fashion gospel by any means, but it is nice to be able to understand the lyrics. I've heard awhile back that some churches were attempting to draw crowds by warming up the audience with comedy acts. I'd suggest the only comedy must be what is being spewed out from those pulpits. A Spirit filled, Spirit led preacher doesn't need a warm up act because God can act on His own using whomever He chooses for His purpose. The same can be said for a person using their musical talents with God's leading. Lord willing we're on to a wonderful weekend that the Lord has made. And hey! Sunday is a coming! God bless, John
