How is it that, between you and housemate, you have only one credit card?

Does he have control over the use of the credit card, or is it equally shared? If housemate has control, can he suggest ways in which I might apply this technique to my own union? Will it involve handcuffs and duct tape?

Was the character "Mephisto" associated with evil (since I only saw the last part of the program)?
