HA! Well they do have a point, usually if the option is 1/4 to the strike, no one excercises it. But sometimes the specialists will do this to take advantage of the spread. IE they can get a 1/4 or so on the spread and they stick it to you. Nothign you can do about it. But you could have sold as soon as it was assigned to you.
