I agree with all your points. 1) The Fed did manipulate the Market. We know who their friends and buddies are: LTCM ( not the shareholders ) and money center banks.

The Question here is if the Fed can win the battle against deflation. I think not. By easing aggressively, the Fed is betting that the stock market will sky rocket and from this wealth effect re-invigorate the American Economy. Will it work? At these valuations, I doubt it. If it does not work, watch out below.
I think the Fed is in over its head here. Greenspam is to late, way to late.
We are at a critical crossroad here. Investors are giving the benefit of the doubt to the power of the Fed. But they can't win this battle without the cooperation of Japan!
Gold soars above $300 an ounce once investors realize that Deflation holds sway over the Fed. Excessive Speculation only delays the inevitable and buys time. It's like remission from Cancer.
