Tippet, there are some great companies that have gotten decimated this year, their yielding 4-6%, have great balance sheets and are great long term buys for an IRA or Keough. Here are a few: USX Steel, Timken, Phelps Dodge, Cypress Amax Minerals. I'd wait for the tax selling season to end. All selling below book value. Boy have these babies been cooked!
