Well howdy there Lee. Have been dabbling in your favorite sector<g>..Bought some NE a few days ago and TMAR yesterday..Any comments? After listening to a recording of TDW's conference call (it's free, number is listed in their PR from yesterday), it appears dayrates/demand are actually increasing in international markets, for vessel work, especially for supply vessels. According to TMAR's last Q, 40% of their revenue was derived from their North Sea operations (they're also in Brazil)
Also in the previous Q(Tmar's) mentioned increased revenue from the Gulf activities due to the tropical storms, well as you know the Gulf has had some weather since the Q ending in June..For these reasons I believe TMAR will beat estimates as TDW did yesterday.
NE is still rated an accumulate by Prudential, even though they downgraded quite a few drillers yesterday, I'm in NE at 15.125...What do you think? I have a hard time staying away from the drillers/ oil service stock, I can
identify with the "grunt" work<LOL>-but I'm sure they employ some of those jetsetting/world traveling, big game hunting oil analysts in the "cushy" jobs<vvvbg>...DD
PS: both closed up yesterday (by a teenth<g>), but it was a shitty day for oil service..
