Too much of a good thing? While I defer to our esteemed expert from Kerrville regarding the rig business I am starting to think that a good amount of balanced information is what is really required to make profitable decisions at this point. Here's where I am going with this: For all the wealth of knowledge regarding the oil patch on this thread, the only people who seemed to see the most recent downturn coming over the horizon (Oct) wasn't our oil bidness guys but folks who knew little about the specifics of oil but alot about the market in general (LT, Thean, bw etc). Most of the rest of us, including the big barking dawgs, got caught with our profits on the table. While I agree with Mike about being very cautious and that the price of oil is the underlying driver, there are other market forces which are obviously driving this sector. of course, I sell software, what do I know?
