Neal, Ill have to agree & its beginning to look like Wstl will have to continue to spend on R&D as MZ has stated. I would have thought that we would have more than the products Wstl has announced this year. It appears that Wstl is falling a little behind in all this. @ a brief look the Pairgain products look pretty good.

<Lucent Technologies Inc. is working with Westell to develop discrete multitone (DMT)-based line cards for its SLC 5 and SLC 2000 DLCs, which will be available for trial by year's end, according to Linda Manchester, director of DSL for Lucent. Carriers with SLC 96 systems deployed likely will want to consider replacing them with Lucent's new AnyMedia DLC, she adds.>
