You are doing it right. There is a thread on SI about learning how to day trade, you might want to follow that. My only other suggestion is when you start full time, to have 6 months of survival money saved up (that you won't trade with) and then assume that you will lose half your trading money in the first 6 months that you trade. I'm not kidding. Be fully aware that there are hundreds of guys like me that are ready, willing, and able to take your money away from you on Monday morning. Most of them are willing to share what they know if you ask.
