It is very interesting reading Casey from December 1997 and compare it to October 1998.
At the time(Dec97)they didn't have any money prospects for financing weren't published and gold market was depressed only for about 4 months.

Now the depression is over a year old. SB was mentioned with the term sheet and they got their hands on 2M which will be more likely transfer to 20% interest.

I think Mr. Casey doesn't believe in financing if anything else, but why wouldn't that be mentioned? From what I read from his piece, Steppe was a fundamental play which turned sour on technical- market based characteristics, which is nothing else but comparing apples to oranges. Would writer like that jumped from one area to another with such ease, without risk of being characterized as superficial?

I think the Stockwatch editing and remarks are making that accusation.
