I was getting concerned about SUNW. However, a few things happened in the past two days that are making me feel much more postive.
First, for all the AOL subscribers, The On-Line Investor section has many articles on SUNW gathered together and very positive. Then IBD has more on SUNW/Java.
But, best of all, is what I found in InfoWorld last night:
"Sun Microsystems will soon make a push into the data center market with server and storage products that will accommodate large databases and broaden Sun's storage connectivity to include servers from other vendors.
Set to announce on Jan. 22, Sun will integrate the supercomputer it acquired from Cray Research last summer into its server line. The server scales to 64 processors and can be partitioned to offer fault tolerance and redundancy for mission-critical applications."
Further:
"Also in the works is a storage subsystem, dubbed Sonoma, that will offer Sun customers connectivity to servers from open systems vendors such as Hewlett-Packard and IBM, running Unix and Windows NT, for the first time. Also available at the end of the month, storage systems will offer fault tolerance and RAID support, boosting performance in server systems."
