Abdul Haq, may I elaborate on that "good question"?

1) I might not accept something for myself (e.g., adultery), but would not demand that others follow my example.

2) On the other hand, I might refuse to accept something (e.g., robbery) and insist that others also refuse to accept it.

3) Even when I accept an absolute value for myself and others --e.g., Thou Shalt Not Steal -- I might look at the circumstances in which that absolute value is violated. (This is where "relativism" comes in.) In other words, I might perceive a huge difference between a Jean Valjean, who as I recall (perhaps incorrectly) was imprisoned for stealing a loaf of bread, and a career bank robber..
